Overview:
— Mondays January to March: “Around the World” – come when you can. All welcome.
— April and May we’ll focus on Swing from 7-8 pm and The Creative Workout from 8-9.
— Saturdays in March and April we’ll have classes and events running all day (come when you can).
— Parties as listed below. Want a weekly party and/or practice session? Say so.
— Daytime classes to-be-announced.
— Available Almost Anytime: Athletic Dances + Tango + Bachata/Zouk/Blues + Contact Improv. (Want these? Say so.)
— Want a class in the morning, afternoon or a different evening? Different location? Want a specific style? Let us know.
— Want to find a practice partner? Come to class or post in the Dance Orangeville group.
— Young? Old? Highly trained? Never trained? Unless otherwise specified: All welcome. Concerned class will be too hard? Too easy? Contact us or just come try. Most classes are semi-customized – so everyone works at a level right for them.

Jan 15: Swing || West Coast Swing
Jan 22: Waltz || Waltz patterns in Foxtrot and gliding Polka.
Jan 29: Cuban Rumba vs Ballroom Rumba || Cha cha & Merengue
Feb 5: Contact Improv || Argentine Tango
Feb 12: Country Two-Step || Folk Dances – Greece/Turkey, Hungary, Sweden
Feb 26: India – Kathak || Spain – Paso Doble
Mar 4: Brazil – Samba || Samba variations
Mar 18: Mozambique || Benin (Africa)
Mar 25: Square Dance || Scotland Cèilidh + Irish Cèili
Feels like too much of a whirlwind? We also love slow culture – taking things slow – but people with 3 left feet who felt hopeless at the start of these classes have learned the essence of each dance and some very cool moves. I expect you will be similarly delightfully surprised. Video the class summary.
Parties:
A variety of styles of music, mostly oriented to the styles covered in classes thus far. Dance as you wish. Teacher available if you want help / to dance.

Wednesday Feb 14, 7:30-9:30 @ MCC (Mono Community Centre), $15. (Valentine’s Day)
Saturday March 9, 7-9 @ MCC, $15
Saturday March 30, 3-5 pm @ Windrush Estate Winery, $25.
Don’t have a car? Getting a ride to Mono/Windrush should be possible. If not, we’ll find a solution/refund.

– human library – take out a “book” for 10 minutes. Have a conversation (perhaps use the list of suggested questions) – learn about another person.
